@phephy00: When Staff Sgt. Michael Pita first opened Hector’s kennel, the Belgian Malinois stood on his hind legs, put both paws on Pita’s chest and nearly looked him directly in the eyes. Hector arrived trained to detect explosives, but he struggled in open terrain and had never performed controlled-aggression or bite work. Pita spent months developing those skills—even wearing the bite suit himself so Hector could learn exactly when to engage and when to stop. Hector earned his detection certification in March 2026 and full patrol qualification in July. His trainer now calls him one of the best working dogs Offutt has seen in eight years. Now this team is ready to detect explosives, apprehend suspects and protect the installation. Would you willingly put on that bite suit? 😳 #AirForce #Army #Marines #SpaceForce #Navy
