Sighs my history (AP) teacher excused Pilipinos still practicing christianity rather than our animism even though we know it was forced on us. Because it had so much similarities to our native beliefs that they apparently easily accepted it plus the fact spaniard influences has deeply woven into our identity and culture. Genuinely saddening considering how beautiful our faith/belief system was
