@littlemeadowmama: Part 1- Step one of the toy declutter: getting EVERY toy from every room in the house into one place… and realizing just how much we actually have. 😅 Toys in bedrooms, the living room, baskets, closets, random drawers—everywhere. No wonder the kids were overwhelmed and nothing ever felt picked up. Seeing it all together was the wake-up call I needed. Time to simplify, declutter, and keep only what they actually play with. #ToyDeclutter #DeclutteringWithKids #ToyOrganization #OverstimulatedKids #MomLife
I keep mine in boxes in the basement. I trade a batch out every couple months 😃

I have a video on our storage from our toy rotation! I also think it’s super helpful to keep it out of their rooms that way you at least have some sanity somewhere lol but I feel the same. I’m going CRAZY

If the stuff in storage hasn't been asked for in months it goes to freecycle. Happy meal and party bag toys go to garbage after 1 week. All broken toys easiest to clean out. Then the survivors go to toy storage for rotation and back to the if not asked for in months it goes. Keeps me sane with 3 kids.

We have really loved the deep, not wide concept. As far as actual toys go, we have 1) building (magnetic tiles, duplos, and legos for us), 2) figures (animals & characters), 3) dr sets, and 4) baby doll stuff. We have plenty of activities/arts and crafts, but those are really the only toys we keep. If it doesn’t fit the category, we don’t keep it. I also try really hard to not have large items, with the exception of a barn and doll house that get used frequently with the other categories.
