I think about this as a student and my mindset is if someone is testifying their worst moments the least I can do is make sure they’re voice is heard in the way that I won’t miss one damn word.

I had a double child (you know what) with toddlers while I was pregnant. So hard to hold the tears in. You hear these in court a lot. It’s the worst 😥

I think that “feeling” is pretty natural as a human. Maybe hiding it might be hard but sometimes holding space and being present, even while working is an important part of what is happening too. Does that make sense?
