@cody.is.outside: Watching the sky with @k.mcilree go from darkness to color from the summit of Old Rag was one of those moments that makes you forget how tired you are, how early you woke up, and how many miles you still have left to hike. It’s hard to describe how peaceful it feels standing somewhere like this before the rest of the world seems to wake up. I think some of the best adventures come from deciding that being comfortable can wait. Wake up ridiculously early. Drive somewhere new. Climb the mountain. Chase the sunrise. the rag at sunrise. we started around 3:30 with the sunrise at 7. we were too early and freezing for 40 minutes. headgear, water, snacks, headphones. bears dont want to meet you as much as you dont want to meet them

I’ve not done old rag at sunrise, I’ve been there very early when the mountain was covered in fog and that was awesome. Sunrise looks to be a next on my list
