Sakolsky was teaching in China 30 years ago when he made a $5,000 donation to a farmer in Inner Mongolia to fight desertification. Years later, that farmer, Yin Yuzhen, turned to social media to find him and thank him for his donation that resulted in green forests where once was sand. They reconnected earlier this year and met again in person in China. #ChinaUSTies
