@melanielippman: You didn’t work this hard to be mistaken for the assistant. And yet sometimes your wardrobe is quietly communicating “supporting role” before you even say a word. It’s not about dressing more formal. It’s about making sure your clothes reflect the level you’re already operating at. Inside the Power Outfits Challenge, I’m showing you how to use what you already own to create outfits that feel more polished, intentional, and aligned with your leadership — without turning into someone you’re not. If you’re tired of looking junior, playing it safe, or second-guessing every outfit, head to the top of my page and come join us. 👆 #ExecutivePresence #WomenInLeadership #LeadershipStyle #ProfessionalStyle #PersonalBrand
I’ve seen this message in several of your videos now, and as a career Executive Assistant, it’s really disappointing. “You didn’t work this hard to be mistaken for the assistant” assumes the assistant somehow hasn’t worked just as hard for her career. You can absolutely teach women how to dress for leadership without diminishing the women who work alongside those leaders.
