Patriarchy teaches that women are to serve men. Therefore, when they see a woman doing her “job”, they don’t see a need to help. For example, they don’t notice what needs to done around the house because on some level they think it’s not something they need to be concerned about- someone else will take care of it for them.

I feel like this is yet another 10sec clip that everyone has filled in their own whole backstory to. Absolutely he should’ve helped with the food as soon as he could. But to associate this with the division of labor argument is a massive stretch.

When my kids were little, and my husband was useless, I knew the kids would get progressively better. My husband actually just got worse. Being a single mom was so much easier.
