During Pitru Paksha, Tarpan can be offered with water, black sesame and kuśa grass while facing south, remembering our ancestors with śraddhā. I’ve written the mantras in the pinned comment below, including the Sanskrit and an easy-to-read transliteration, so you can save this video and follow them at your own pace. For each of the Pitru Tarpan mantras shown, make three water offerings, as demonstrated in the video. 🙏🏽 I hope this helps you understand and perform Pitru Tarpan at home. Thank you for this ,can i ask since when black thill seeds need to be used ?because my ancestors and during funeral while thil is used even the 13 days ceremony and other ceremonies the pundit im SA asks for white thil seed .So im confused all the years im using that does that mean my prayer n tharpan is null and void ?
