i realised once you stop trusting people it's harder for people to love you, once you're in a relationship they get mad over how much reassurance you need and how upset you get when they talk to someone else. i wish i could trust again but the second i start loving someone to hard all i can think about is "when will they leave", and they all do eventually it's so hard man

Since high school reading of Mice and Men I’ve had this poignant thought that I would so much rather be a mouse or an animal than a human because they don’t have as deep of thoughts and feelings, it’s not dreadful and miserable, you/they just are (exist without necessarily any positive or negative feelings about that). I know the whole point of the poem To a Mouse is that shit can happen to both species alike but Idk I just remember reading it and being like it must be so freeing (compared to having the brain I have now) to only be able to think in simple terms. To not care so much about not being happy because that simply isn’t a concept.
