You can get 240v to 110v step down transformers for your North American appliances, they’re fairly common because they’re used on construction sites. Most appliances have a way to switch between the voltages too, but the switch might be hidden

We have a lot of contradicting rules like that in supermarkets for example you can’t buy more than two packets of ibropofen or paracetamol but codeine is ok but is 25 times more stronger than paracetamol (I think in the americas you have to get this on prescription?) but anyway you can even buy more paracetamol or ibroprofen if it’s an in store pharmacy which also don’t make sense 😂 also when you use the NHS be careful because it’s flat fee something like £9 per medication but for example if a doctor writes you one for over the counter stuff always ask if it’s cheaper to buy over the counter without prescription sometimes they say yes sometimes they say it’s only available on prescription. They keep adding more things slowly you can get over the counter now as well because of the struggles of our healthcare system but also as much because it’s not privatised finding treatments sometimes at pharmacies and things can be difficult for particular things as not often listed online.
