Same! I have a green marble dining table. If I’d bought it from suppliers in my country, it would have cost €7,300. Instead, I had it custom-made by a manufacturer in China for €3,200, including shipping. It took just 10 days to get here. I hate that people associate China with cheap, low-quality products. Of course, if you go looking for the cheapest, lowest-quality stuff, you’ll find it, but that’s true anywhere. China produces at pretty much every level of quality you just have to be willing to pay for it. Especially when it comes to clothing. We moved so much of our manufacturing there, which gave them years to perfect their tailoring skills and develop manufacturing technologies that we either don’t have anymore or have simply forgotten how to use. I love trousers, and my €420 trousers from a Chinese brand are better made and use better-quality materials than my €1,200 YSL trousers.

Guys one tip, all she showed would be even cheaper if u order from Foshan , China as it is the capital of furniture in China. Shanghai offers premium prices but is a bit easier communicating as alot of businesses there also speak English!

Agree how awesome some chinese furniture and joinery companies are. The only thing I have to point out is the fact that most European furniture designers have to abide by sustainability requirements. That means the wood used for the table is usually sourced from sustainably managed forests. I haven’t heard of the same requirements for wooden chinese furniture. If you share the name of the wood species we can check.

The biggest threat to all these big western name brands...of everything from watches & furniture to EVs and AI...isn't that China can produce it cheaper or faster, but that these Chinese producers pull back the wool that these western brands cast over consumers' eyes for decades!
