🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘 EMERGENCY 🆘🆘🆘🆘🆘 This sweet as sugar 14 year-old Chihuahua has been kill listed… For tomorrow. This is truly adorable ❤️CHI CHI❤️, and she was email blasted this morning from West Valley, a dangerous shelter in Los Angeles, SoCal. Chi Chi is spayed (and sadly that is it for preventative care from her pathetic former parents) and 12.10 pounds with a BCS of nine out of nine. Chi Chi is still on her ‘stray’ hold until tomorrow on her kill date and was email blasted earlier this week as part of a multi dog outreach. Something must have happened (or the shelter vet wants her out in an abundance of caution) and the shelter sent out the email blast without updated records this morning. Perhaps they are updating them or I’m not sure. Chi Chi is not rescue only to my knowledge but adoptions do need to be conducted in person at that shelter. She is major medical and will require a lot of care and expense. Adoptions should not be made impulsively. If Chi Chi is not saved before 4 PM, Saturday, October 17, 2026, or sooner if her medical condition declines she will be executed💔. This is what is on the kill email blast: 1. Senior 2. Overweight BCS 9/9 3. Opacity both eyes, cataracts both eyes 4. Heavy dental calculus, periodontal disease 5. Has increased respiratory effort, panting, becomes cyanotic with mild exercise or mild excitment 6. Heart murmur Grade 4/6 7. Non-ulcerated button-shaped, pedunculated superficial mass on the right ventral chest that may or may not be mammary tissue. 8. Non-ulcerated subcutaneous mass inguinal region Chichi must be rescued by 10-17-2026 before 4:00 PM or sooner. Chichi may be euthanized at any time if her medical condition declines. Chi Chi only came in on 10/13 and was flagged for all of the above except for numbers five AND six. The shelter had sent out a email blast a couple of days ago and I am actually networking another unrelated dog from that blast. This little doll baby Chi Chi was on my radar and then ALL this happened💔. On today’s kill email blast, they resent the same video from the earlier blast. Chi Chi is so cute but admittedly very heavy. Gentle Chi Chi is extraordinarily lovely and full of sweetness. She is able to be handled all over in her cage, and on the medical ward floor, walks slowly with a wagging tail straight up to the videographer for pets. One ear is straight up, and the other has a permanent fold, probably due to an old hematoma, indicative of all the neglect that she has suffered. The video is at least a couple of days old, so I don’t know how active she is now, and I imagine that they are trying to keep Chi Chi quiet. Please give this good girl a miracle. Our Chi Chi needs medical funds for her veterinary needs, major networking such as sharing and every single person to reach out for committed, local foster offers and compassionate reputable 501(c)(3) rescues, that can take Chi Chi to a full service hospital and then nurture her in a warm and comforting home environment. Please, after every miserable thing that our sweet Chi Chi has endured, and now is going through, to let her be killed in a shelter, without the special time ALL older and medical dogs deserve, would be the final failure after so many disgraceful betrayals💔.
