I was at JCPenney going through a pile of pants looking for a size. A man told me to find X size for him. Told me. I said oh I don't work here. he says "yes you do, you're working right now!" "I don't work here." "Why are you refusing to do your job?!" "I don't work here." "Yes you do" I stand up, turn around to face him, make eye contact. "I don't work here. (louder) Don't talk to women that way ever again." 😡 People turned around. Maybe he learned, but I doubt it

Back in November of 2020, I went to the grocery store after work (I worked at Petco at the time) and some random dude literally ripped my headphones out while I was waiting to get a cart to demand that I get a mask. I had a flannel over my uniform shirt, my apron still on, and my nametag barely visible. I have never been so close to shoving another person into a crowd in my life

I once made the mistake of leaving my job and heading to Walmart after my shift ended but didn't change out of my uniform. I was yelled at by someone for ignoring them when I had my back to them and in my own little world shopping. I was wearing a bright green polyester polo shirt which isn't even close to the BLUE smock worn at Walmart 🙃🤣

I used to work at Footlocker. I'd stop into the target that was in the same mall to grab something for lunch that wasn't Foodcourt food, and this would happen to me all the time. Like ma'am. The uniforms are not the same. I'm dressed like the shittiest ref you've ever seen, NOT in a red polo & tan pants 😭

I was wearing my work shirt because I was on lunch and this one customer saw me in that workshop and said oh hey you can help me You can help me process this return let me get it from my car and you can process it right? I said no I am on lunch and she goes oh that's fine they give you portable registers anyway don't they so you can process this. told her no got my food and then left as I was walking back to the store she was cussing me out. apparently after my lunch I had to go see the manager and explain to her that the reason why I wouldn't help this lady is because she wanted me to process a return while I was on lunch and at a different store
