We needed a number of 62 today, I hate that I had to fight so hard for this test and I’m going to have to continue to fight for another blood test and a scan at 6wks. My office won’t scan me until 10-12weeks and there is no way I’m waiting that long. I’ve had a missed miscarriage before and it’s devastating. I’ve also had a blighted ovum and that’s also devastating to know there was never a baby developing. I have so much pregnancy trauma that I will never feel safe until baby is in my arms. So that’s the bad but the good … my number over tripled 😭 this baby is looking like it’s going to stick and while it was unplanned I am so so so grateful to be carrying life again. I wanted to share my journey this way and early to show what it’s like navigating pregnancy after loss. I hope you feel less alone if you’ve been on or are on a similar journey. I really haven’t seen anyone talk so in depth about this topic and I have always felt so crazy for all the pregnancy tests, blood draws, underwear checks because no one talks about it. My question is why why is no one talking about it even the urgent care dr said well “miscarriages are way more common than you think but no one talks about it” so I’m going to talk about it because I felt alone on this journey before and I don’t want you to feel that way
