They need a coaching overhaul. The hitting coach and pitching coach are not working in Philly. I don’t want to hear that they were great coaches elsewhere. They’re not working out here. Case in point: Painter. Went down to AAA, had a quality pitching coach and turned things around. I’m going to assume that Mattingly will not be the manager next season (unless by some miracle the Phillies win the World Series). And we’re stuck with Schwarber, Turner, and Harper for several more years because Dombrowski signed all three to no trade clauses.

The team has been HR or bust for 4+ years. All that does is make your wins look like blowouts and your losses make the team look anemic. They need a fundamental change in how they ALL approach the plate. Small ball fundamentals make a team consistent and consistency wins championships.
