(Plot twist: most standard policies don’t cover it.) • What about mudslides, sewer backup, and water damage? • What’s my deductible? • Is there a waiting period for new coverage? (NFIP flood policies usually take 30 days to start, so don’t wait until your living room turns into a koi pond.)
