@lovemisswhitney: The full story about the Goddess of the Moon…🌬️ The Legend of Chang’e is a famous Chinese myth about 嫦娥 Chang’e, the goddess of the Moon. Her husband, the legendary archer 后羿 Hou Yi, received an elixir of immortality after saving humanity by shooting down nine of the ten suns scorching the Earth.☀️ When Hou Yi was away, Chang’e drank the elixir to prevent it from being stolen, causing her to become immortal and ascend to the Moon. Separated from Hou Yi forever, she is said to live on the Moon with the Jade Rabbit 玉兔, becoming a symbol of love, sacrifice, longing, and the Moon. 🌙🐇 Growing up, MidAutumn Festival was always one of my favorite Chinese traditions! It’s a celebration rooted in the Chinese legend of the Moon Goddess Chang’E, gathering with loved ones, lighting lanterns for good fortune, and sharing sweet mooncakes under a full harvest sky. 🏮🌕 Wishing everyone a Happy Midautumn Festival family reunion and season filled with warmth, clarity, good luck, prosperity and renewal ✨ 中秋節快樂！ Have you tried mooncake before?
