@cinemajestic: Tyler Durden’s iconic “We’re the middle children of history” monologue was taken almost word for word from Chuck Palahniuk’s 1996 novel Fight Club. Palahniuk’s novel explored the growing sense of emptiness, consumerism, and disillusionment among a generation that had been taught to measure success through careers, possessions, and status. When David Fincher adapted the book in 1999, much of Tyler’s speech was kept intact, turning the passage into one of the film’s most memorable moments, and arguably its clearest statement about the world it was criticizing. Almost three decades later, the monologue still feels remarkably relevant. #edit #fightclub #bradpitt
