Don't get me wrong, i love the lead couple but i feel like Zhou ye's acting falls a bit short. She uses same expressions here as she did in LOFG, I was expecting broader range or new approach from her.😕

the chemistry is good. what i feel it’s lacking is the bgm. the edit felt off when the bgm did not match up with it, especially on those scenes where they shall emphasize that those are narratives and recall scenes

I think the issue with the female lead scene that everyone’s talking about was we had just watched the father who is a seasoned veteran actor who handled the prior scene with so much emotional intensity, then they jumped right into her scene which should have matched that intensity but it fell flat, it didn’t have the same intensity. I see that as a flaw in the script/writing more than a flaw with the actress.

the vibes same with double thats why I didn't find this unique, it's just that the FL in double is smarter than zhouye's character. in this drama, the FL almost died if only the ML didn't save her.. while in the double, the man is just a backup of the FL.. I love the character of xukai here, he nailed it though I'm not his fans but still I couldn't keep up, I don't like the story so I drop it at ep. 6.. not just my cup of tea becuz of the basic plot..

they have one of the best chemistry in cdrama this year for me. the last time i was this eager and excited for a cp in drama world is for yang yang and delireba in "you're my glory" and that was years ago. everytime they're on the screen i cant help but squeal in delight

i think there was issues with the editing and directing somewhere which threw off some scenes but it gets better and smooth as the eps progress i almost dropped it at ep2 but kept watching around ep 3 -4 is when stuff got interesting

Completely agree with Zhou Ye and the story really is with familiar and used themes but Im still enjoying it especially if both leads are on the scene, Xu Kai's entrances in peak scenes got me cheering him on 😂

I'm watching it and enjoying it, but since ep.1 I realised it's The Double 2.0 (Duke Su and A'Li are waaaay better, though). The best part is the chemistry between the leads, I think.
