He grew up around elite teams. Everyone around him wants him to succeed. He has incredible veterans support. The sharks have one of the closest teams. All players naturally turn to him anyway. He’ll have a learning curve, but it’s a no brainer

As a fellow Atlantic div fan, I’d say it’s fine. He’s young, sure. But the pro-sports upbringing means he’s probably a better captain than a lot of 25 yo captains from Saskatoon or London or MN or MA based schools

Aww I'm so proud of him. 🥰 It's gonna be a really interesting year for the Sharks, I think. I'm honestly excited. I'm not even sure if we can consider them an underdog team anymore. Mike Grier is continuing to impress me, and he was one of my favourite players in my childhood, so it's really fun to see.
