I looked it up so you didn’t have too! Basically they made the entire 89 Oscar’s a weird broadway musical, like from start to finish. Not only that, but they did it in a weird way where Snow White (an amateur actress at the time playing actual Snow White in a series) hosted the entire Oscar’s with occasional other actors/actresses making appearances to sing along. The worst part was Rob Lowe at the end. They said it was the worst performance they ever saw and his singing was the worst. Nobody understood why they had Rob Lowe sing the last set. (You might still want to look it up just to hear it)

okay so I had to do some digging that didn't involve using tick tock stupid ass AI, basically what ended up happening was he didn't 11 minutes song segment with an actress portraying Snow White singing. it apparently just got really dragged out and was really awkward and I think they were actually just padding for time but a lot of people really didn't like that it was an 11 minute song segment that was meant to be an intro for the oscars.

I will say I found it ridiculous that everyone acted like 'the slap' was comparable to actual tragedy. the way so many people (particularly in the entertainment industry) was screaming and crying about it was so asinine. was the slap petty and stupid and childish? sure. but it wasn't 'traumatizing' 😒
