I live in Victoria and I heard about this a while ago but I thought it was scrapped for an AI data center i mean I’d rather the power plant but yea I heard that was scrapped

the location is about 12 miles from my home. I dont want it at all the noise the traffic and the danger is not what I wanted this close to my home we already have plants to close to use and the only reason they want to build this thing is to power more AI data centers .

our plants around here are polluted our air so we don't need more dangerous things like the water will be damaged. I fish so in the next 15 years we won't be able to fish in bad water. Texas is beautiful the way it is and if built you'll regret. This guy is a realtor and he talks this way to make money another Trump, money lovers.Think about our children and their future. leave Texas alone i love Texas the way it is. we don't need another New York. think about nature.

if I remember correctly, these will be nuclear fusion, which are inherently way more safer, doesn’t create long lasting nuclear waste, plus it only holds a tiny amount of fuel so like it’s literally impossible for it to be another Chernobyl.

All those nuclear power plants are being built to help sustain the AI data centers that will require a lot of energy. From what I read, data centers require more power than twice the households in the whole state of Texas combined.

If it’s thorium based,I would support it since all the nuclear fuel can’t be used for nuclear weapons and the half life is considered in weeks vs the hundreds of years of plutonium or uranium of spent fuel.
