@converg3_: Housed inside a former East Berlin power station, Berghain’s architecture is as central to its identity as the music itself. The building’s vast turbine halls, exposed concrete, steel infrastructure and industrial remnants were transformed by architects Studio Karhard, who deliberately retained much of the structure’s original character. Rather than disguising its past, the club incorporates it. Former machinery spaces became dance floors, industrial corridors became passageways, and the building’s monumental scale helped shape the intensely physical experience Berghain became known for.
