If anyone ever erupted my life in such a way, causing me to lose my home, I would never forgive them, ever, period, unless they put in the work to put things how they were all by themselves since they're the one that made the decision to destroy it, and it would need to be either exactly, or comparably good. Then, I might be open to it, so in this case, I'd hope she had house money laying around.

The worst part is that thing about husbands leaving their sick wives is from studies where either the sample size was hilariously small or they got retracted because they counted people leaving the study as divorces. It's just a myth that gained traction because people assume the worst of married men. Same as the those claims that single women are better off than married women.
