they are not saving. they are spending every dime they make before they even make it it will come back to bite them. dont go out, dont buy the new car over the cheaper used car. dont live in a fancy house to show off. pay your bills, make the things work that you already have, save money and invest in your future and not your present. then ine day, while others your age are teying to figure out how to survive after retirement age and 101 ways to eat Alpo for dinner, you will be vacationing, and enjoying life with plenty of money to live one! stay the course and dont keep up with Jones's because they are broke!

Budgeting? I don't pay rent though. I pay a mortgage because I like building my own equity, not my landlord's.

Things we did in our early years for fun: game night with friends, picnics in the park , high school football games, searched for any event " free" in the community and we had a lot of secx. Most of the time we were too tired to party

A lot of people living the YOLO/FOMO lifestyle are not saving. They are borrowing. They are living off debt, mostly credit cards and buy-now-pay-later loans. Social media is at best the highlight reel, showing all the good times, but none of the underlying struggles.
