Netanyahu responded by describing those who walked out as “moral cowards,” while supporters in the gallery chanted in Hebrew in support of Israel. During his approximately 40-minute address, Netanyahu rejected accusations that Israel had committed genocide, saying, “Israel didn't commit genocide. Israel prevented genocide.” He also defended Israel’s military actions and accused critics of spreading what he described as false claims about the country and its soldiers. Netanyahu also used the speech to criticise New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Western European leaders, Qatar and Turkey over their positions and statements concerning Israel.
