Constantly when I get to getting even closer to Jesus I get stuck. I feel heavy I feel far from him and I every time I pray I feel guilty because I ask for forgiveness ALL the time. And I genuinely need help. I don’t know how I will but I will find a way to stop this

I examine myself more than I do others. I looooove the Lord so much, yet I realized I lack joy and peace in my heart; I have even lost a sense of wonder regarding my future, though I continue to seek the Lord and try to keep His Word in mind. My greatest desire is to have a heart filled with love, for I have felt an emptiness—so deep I can feel it in my very bones. I do not know if this is because I have been basing the reality of the Lord’s Presence—and that of His Holy Spirit—on feelings or emotions... but I want to learn to love 😭 Actually, lately, I have been dragging my feet—moving sluggishly, without energy, and feeling sleepy—even though I desire to be in quiet communion with the Lord... Could you pray for me, please?

Matthew 7:22-23 is talking about someone trusting in there works. Works dont save you. Jesus Christ Saves you. Works are a byproduct of your faith. Eternal life is a gift.
