Thank you for addressing this, because it was the most insane thing that I had ever heard. I was lucky that I was an adult learner, like in my thirties and already knew absolutely not... but they're telling these things to 22-year-olds who have never had a grown-up job before... and that's what they think it's supposed to be like!

someone these professors in teaching programs have no idea what the world is like for young people. they were able to be a single income household, buy a house, have health care for themselves and family. vacation money and all while working one job. its not like that anymore.
