Of course these drug interactions have been used to enhance the effectiveness of opioids. I was always prescribed amitriptoline with morphine as this lowered the dose needed.

Typically for methadone patient. If they were ever to take I’m not gonna get specific with drugs, for obvious reasons, but specific antivirals and antifungal can largely increase their serum concentration. Even taking methadone with a pH buffer to raise the pH of your stomach, can increase its plasma, concentrations and effects. Speaking from personal experience.

My spicy m&ms pack I take each night (my meds...) has 15 things in it these days. How is one doc or pharmacist supposed to keep track of all the "maybe these interact"? I know AI is a hot button but are we ultimately going to need to learn to trust the machine?
