@shoeresto: Nike x R.T. Air Force 1 High Full Restorataion Model No : 669919-120 Release : 2014 Work : Cleaning, Outsole Replacement, Upper Repainting The Nike x R.T. Air Force 1 High, created in collaboration with designer Riccardo Tisci, was released in 2014. Featuring a premium white leather upper, brown Swooshes, and colorful detailing, it offers a distinctive interpretation of the classic Air Force 1. Based on the original Air Force 1 silhouette, the design features Riccardo Tisci’s signature details, including a layered double Swoosh, ankle strap, triangular toe box perforations, and colorful heel details. The midsole also features distinctive R.T. detailing representing the collaboration. The upper and outsole of the Air Force 1 are connected through the Areans stitching process, but during restoration, the most important factor is the bonding between the upper and sole. Even when stitching is present, proper bonding is essential for maintaining the shoe’s durability. That is why, during re-bonding, we focus on restoring the bonding surfaces while preserving the original positioning and shape of the shoe. Unfortunately, the “RT” detail on the outsole is currently difficult to reproduce accurately with our existing restoration methods, so we were unable to recreate it in this restoration. We will continue researching different restoration techniques and materials to find a way to reproduce this detail more accurately in the future. For older collaborative releases, restoration is not only about improving the overall appearance. Preserving the unique details of the original design as closely as possible is also an important part of the restoration process.
