pour some diesel down the oil filler and run it for a minute then redrain it'll clean it a little bit

fill it FULL of diesel fuel and let it set for a week. then drain, fill it again and turn it over a few times. and drain. then chain oil, run 15 minutes. change again and run it at 3/4 throttle for 30 min. drain and repeat if needed.

Bro not proud of it but i had 16,000 miles on the oil in my bus once because the struggle got real after covid and i just needed to run the bus.. oil change costs $500 with filters, luberfiner and fuel filters and insurance was $3,700 and i just didn’t have it.. my bus has a 2 stroke detroit diesel 6-71 non turbo and a 10 speed manual transmission and after 16k miles the oil looked like oil.. all 11 gallons came right out cold and easy.. so my question is this… “how TF does the oil get like that in a brand new damn truck but the oil in my heavy ass 48 year old school bus doesn’t… is it a DEF issue??
