'I just wanted to make a funny video' A social media influencer is in hot water after leaving a bathtub on top of a mountain following a stunt, leaving a group of rugby players to step in. Tom Christopher was attempting to break a world record for the ‘highest bath in the world’. He documented himself on his socials on Saturday, carrying the weighty tub to the top of Pen y Fan in Wales, along with countless bottles and buckets of water - asking ramblers to help him with the task. After the celebrations were over, Christopher left the mountain and seemed to forget something… the bath. Users online have flooded his comments section, calling for him to pay a fine for fly tipping in a beauty spot. One TikTok user said: “This is just incredibly irresponsible to leave a bath on top. Not a good look at all mate. If you carry it up you carry it down.” Another said: “Absolutely disgusting leaving it up there. No respect for Welsh countryside.” The influencer has apologised for leaving the tub 2,907ft on top of one of the Brecon Beacons saying, ‘I just wanted to do something a bit crazy’ and claimed ‘I was gonna put wheels on it and ride it down’. But 24 hours later, a group of rugby players from Cardiff Academy, hailed “total legends” made the trek and took matters into their own hands, carrying the junk off the mountain. Writing on social media, they said: “Fantastic day for senior academy supporting the National Trust at Pen y Fan with some invaluable work experience and teamwork essential. “Also the group had the pleasure of carrying a bath from the top down. Who would leave a bath up there?! #mindless.”
