I think having family watch your baby while you work the same shift and then you can be home together on your days off is GENIUS! Kudos to your employer for supporting your family and God Bless you, your husband, your baby and your family for all doing your part. I have been a nurse for 40+ years and making shift work and child care mesh is always a challenge.

My partner and I did opposite shifts, and guess what. I never got to see my child and barely spend time with my child cuz I’d sleep during the day and I would be too tired to do anything. Meaning I wouldn’t see my child much 4 days out the week! Working the same shifts is definitely better for parents and baby :)
