I always tell them “I’ll come back in fifteen minutes and if you’re not asleep then you can come back downstairs to play for a while but you need to try to fall asleep” I never go back and they always fall asleep 😂 the next day I tell them they were already asleep when I went to check on them

I tell them that need to “charge” yes that exactly. We talk about why it’s important to rest especially since we’ll need energy for tomorrow since we’re planning to have fun. If we don’t charge our bodies we’ll have no energy to have fun😭❤️

I tell kids I babysit I will say one “bad” word but the rule is they cannot talk after otherwise I won’t ever again. Poop, pee, poo in my pants, etc

if their scared of monsters ever, tell them that if they call the monsters name the monster has to respond. no response = no monsters

i tell them we can play a game where they have to pretend to be asleep for 15 minutes. if they ask if it’s been 15 minutes the timer resets
