Hot take: the Bayverse movies are the best and worst thing that has ever happened to the transformers franchise. The Bayverse movies brought in so many new fans along with essentially reviving a dead franchise. So I can definitely appreciate them for that. On the other hand, they completely ruined Optimus’s character by making him a psycho killing machine. Optimus is not violent unless he needs to be. He’s a gentle giant, and the Bayverse ruined that. Along with that, most transformers media after the movies: Prime, RID15, and even Cyberverse were basically forced to copy off of the Bayverse movies. Like Bumblebee being mute. I can go on and on about this to be honest
