@sammicucarese: I said, “No, I don’t really have a lunch break.” He looked confused. “Then how are you here?” I told him I work for myself, from my phone. If I want to grab lunch at 11:30, 1:00 or 3:00… I can. He looked at me and said: “I see people doing that on Facebook. If I were 40 years younger, I’d be learning everything I could. Those are going to be some of the richest people one day.” I told him, “You’re never too old to change your life.” He smiled and said I made his day. But honestly… he made mine. 🥹 Because 2.5 years ago, I wasn’t chasing some crazy life. I wanted an extra $1,000/month. I wanted breathing room. Options. More control over my time. And today, freedom looked as simple as grabbing lunch in the middle of the day without having to check the clock or ask permission.
