The Thailand VAT refund process starts AT THE STORE—not at the airport. Bring your original passport when you shop, then go to the Customer Service or VAT Refund for Tourists counter after paying. Make sure your P.P.10 form is issued on the same day as your purchase and keep your original receipt. On departure day, there are TWO important airport steps: first, visit the Customs VAT Refund for Tourists office before immigration and security for the required Customs verification/stamp.
