This is my boyfriend... he is NOSY. Gets me all the tea and work gossip from his job, and is SAT for my work gossip.

My friend's mum disappeared when he was 7. After his dad's negligence killed his 5yo sibling, he was removed and grew up with his grandparents as their only living relative. He was basically their caretaker from age 15 on as their health worsened. At age 19, his grandpa died and his grandma with dementia had to be send into a care home. His grandpa's greatest regret was never seeing his daughter again or getting to know what happened to her.
So when my friend visited her one time with his husband and son, he had long hair, the same blond his mum had. His grandma thought he was his mum and his son was him. She was so happy.
"I always knew you'd come see your mother again"
My friend didn't correct her. She died a few weeks later.

My grandpa had dementia, he would often confuse me for my mother or forget I was an adult and dyed my hair.

I’ve heard of the Benny or Bobby thing that makes me feel old. My grandmother had dementia it wasn’t that bad if you gave her a minute, she would think about it and correct herself but my Nana o my she only new my dad and thought he was 17. She thought my grandfather was her dad and had no clue who the rest of us were. We would just let her talk because if you corrected her, it would make it worse it would confuse her more

My godfather RIP ❤️❤️❤️he used to tell war stories all the time. He was NEVER in the war!! It’s because when I was growing up all he watched and read were war stories. He one time throw juice down elevator shaft to break elevator so the enemy couldn’t used it. That was a hard one to keep a straight face lol

Aww! My ex and I ended up breaking up but are still friends, and when we were still together he visited once while I was caretaking my grandpa and he was amazing about it! Papa was so happy I had someone better than my previous ex, and I really, REALLY needed some time not being solely a caregiver too. It was fantastic.
