I was not too happy with this episode of Monster but as far as the portrayal of Aileen Wuornos, Sarah Paulson did an amazing job- I had no idea it was her!! Charlize’s portrayal is iconic-it’s the first portrayal we have seen of Aileen… the bar was set high, so it’s only natural to compare anything else to that. It’s like comparing Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker to Heath Ledger’s…both actors did an amazing job and brought out different perspectives on such a complex character. I give them both credit for taking on such a character.. imagine trying to tap into that psyche 😳

Sarah’s feels much more accurate. If you’ve ever met a Florida lot lizard/crackhead lady of the night they all have very similar erratic behaviors and facial expressions
