@life_with_rachel__: We are so sad we had to return our sweet Teddy boy. 😭🐶 We are going to miss him SO much. He brought so much joy, cuddles, and chaos into our home. But sometimes you make a decision with the best intentions and realize it’s just more than you can handle in that season of life. I wanted a puppy. I thought we could do it. But once Teddy was here, I realized just how much I already have on my plate with four kids, a baby, our home, work, and everything in between. I had to be honest with myself: my kids and my baby need to come first. Changing your mind doesn’t mean you failed. Realizing you bit off more than you can chew takes strength. Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is admit, “I thought I could do this, but I was wrong,” and make a different choice. 🤍 We love Teddy, we’ll miss him like crazy, and I’ll probably cry every time I see a puppy for the next six months. 😂😭 And let’s be honest… James was the real star of the puppy era. 😂🤩

Sometimes it’s good to normalise realising you made a mistake and took steps to correct it. In this case, returning the puppy was the best decision. Don’t feel too bad, you’ve given that pup another chance to find a forever home with people that have the time. It’s ok to not take on more than you can handle.

We had to rehome a dog as well. It was really hard and I’m so sorry it didn’t work out. We stayed in touch with the shelter and now she’s on a farm with so much room to run and no babies ❤️‍🩹 people don’t understand that sometimes you get a dog and think everything will be fine but it’s more responsible to do what’s best for everyone including you as mom

Better to send a puppy back quickly than to wait until they are harder to find a home for and more connected to the family. We got our dog when he was rehomed after 3 days and I am so grateful that he is with us and not in a home where he is an inconvenience

We got a puppy when I was newly divorced and pregnant living with my parents. She was a full time job so I totally get it! I was up all night with her but it worked with my miserable pregnancy 🫠 and I did nothing but entertain her during the day until I started working. I can’t imagine with 4 kiddos!
