@hokkienhits: ❤️ 内山姑娘要出嫁 ❤️ 原唱 ：葉啟田 Post 179 | This song is one of the most celebrated classic Taiwanese Hokkien pop songs from the late 1960s, renowned for its energetic rhythm, memorable call-and-response vocals, and theatrical storytelling. The song paints a vivid, heartbreaking yet lively picture from the perspective of a heartbroken young lover watching his sweetheart get married off to someone else. The protagonist runs behind a traditional palanquin (sedan chair) carrying his beloved, pleading with the palanquin bearers to slow down. He laments that she is leaving without giving him an explanation, watching her ride away over mountains and through villages while completely helpless to stop it. The song famously features rhythmic sedan-bearer chants ("Hei-xiu, hei-xiu" / 嘿休嘿休) and comedic vocal interjections like "Yoo, sedan-bearers, wait a moment!" (唷 扛轎的啊少等咧唷). The song's infectious beat and humorous take on a sad topic made it a staple at Taiwanese weddings, banquets, and karaoke parlors for decades. Its signature sedan-chair carry rhythm remains one of the most recognizable intro hooks in Hokkien music history. #hokkienhits #闽南语歌曲 #经典闽南语歌曲 #福建歌 #葉啟田
