Fair points but you need stats to back some of them. Truly how niche are all of the businesses they support? Do they have segments that are fairly visible and could be replaced? And even if they are closest to the customer and can defend their market position by price matching, that undercuts their existing margins. Also I think you’re overstating the moat. If these businesses run on ancient software, why wouldn’t they be open to switching to something newer and simplified?

You are mistaken. They pay or diy the software themselves so it's only one payment. They don't need to pay 1% every year. This will save them a lot of money
