I am disabled. My ex planned to always take care of me until we actually split up. I had a job for a year, my longest ever streak for a job because I'm disabled. My divorce lasted 3 years. I had a good lawyer. he stopped working for me cuz I couldn't pay an entire of my paychecks to him. So, I got a free lawyer. My ex husband moved. I get to see my son 3 times a year now. Been fighting for disability coming on 5 years. That's about how long it's been with this custody agreement. It's KILLING me.

ADAM- i literally just had this argument with a guy online yesterday, he said I was bitter and sad because I was independent and earned my own money, I said the only reason a man would not want you to have money is to be controlling, he said men work so they can get a wife and nice home, women don’t have to work and have no value, I said you’re delusional, EVERYONE has to work in this crazy high cost of living, I don’t know one couple where the wife stays at home and they can live off of one wage, I’d always choose financial independence over being trapped with someone else controlling the purse strings

Married 21 years, my name is on everything jointly, but also probably some things are just in my name. I pay all the bills, he probably wouldn't even know how to do them. My credit score is somehow a little higher than his. Making sure my 20 yr old daughter has and controls her own finances and doesn't make herself smaller for anyone.
