@hornafricana: In the ancient world, in many Kushite cultures, only women who were foretellers or soothsayers used drums to summon spirits and perform magic, or to receive messages from them. The common Afro-Asiatic word for divination, foretelling, or soothsaying is faal (فال). The woman was Faaliya, Faaliyah, Faaliso/ah. The man was Kohin, Kaahin — the priest. #africa #ethiopian_tik_tok🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹 #sudanese_tiktok #somalitiktok #egypt
