The Bible Is Not the Word of God - The Word of God is inspired, inerrant, and infallible. And when He was about eighteen, He grew a beard. -Dr Brad Jersak The Logos. To be fully, uncomfortably human. If that bothers you, congratulations. You’re waking up to the fact that you were trained to never see Jesus as humanly relatable. Ask yourself why. Because when the Word of God walked this earth, He lived as a man, tempted in every way like us. But you were taught that God is so HOLY, thinking of Him as fully human is offensive. And that means you’re missing the entire beauty of the incarnation. God entered the earth as a helpless baby. Lived like the least of these. Turned the religious system on its head. And through unstoppable love, reconciled the world back to God. He didn’t just rescue you. He revealed you. The Gospel of John doesn’t call the Bible the Word of God. It calls Jesus the Logos. Hebrews doesn’t say God spoke finally through a book. It says He spoke through His Son. The Bible never took on flesh. Never died on a cross. Never rose from the grave. Jesus is the Word of God. The Bible is a sacred witness. Honor it. But don’t stop at the page. Because the One it points to is fire in your bones. Breath in your lungs. Love reintroducing you to who you’ve always been.
