I used to tech a class of 4 and 5 year olds and this goes for any age range, if you yourself are week minded they can tell and they WILL push you around, you need to stand you ground, you need to be stern. you literally have to show them you ARE bigger than them. I'd love to be a teacher and work with troubled kids but I'm 22 now and never went to college 😅

Schools should never divide students by their academic ability. All groups of kids can learn from each other! Sure offer some “honor” classes but students should be integrated!!!!

It's a great true story. Ron Clark is a great teacher. What's worse is the demographics in the class that think they're bigger and badder than they actually are.

My favorite students to teach were always the ones in juvenile detention. They were harder to reach at first but deep down they craved the knowledge the most. They just wanted to be taught that they were more than where they came from.

When you divide the kids based on academic ability… the kids who caught on “our nerds are smart once they leave there is no social pressure to actually study and so the moral obligation to study actually reduces and it’s reduced down to the lowest common denominator Bs or Cs
