I wonder if they have this project in London too. I am BRCA1 and reduced my chances of getting breast cancer, but I have not done anything on the ovarian side. I used to be on the NHS ALDO project where they did blood tests to try and detect ovarian cancer early, but they stopped doing that in 2020. I also didn't know there is a risk of colon cancer with BRCA until I saw your video.

My mum is BRAC2, had her ovaries and breasts removed 12 years ago. My cousin lost her life to breast cancer at age 39 - her sister (my other cousin) was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after her. I am extremely lucky to be negative but I remember when I went for my counselling for the genetic testing they said that when my daughters were at the point of testing/preventative surgery stage things would have advanced greatly. Fortunately I don’t have to worry for my daughters now but the research they do is so vital to help our future generations. I hope your children will be negative but if not I hope things look very differently by that point 🙏

Thank you so much for taking part in this research. Not only are you helping a large group of people, but this kind of research also helps people who live in countries where science and medical research have not progressed as far yet.
One of my friends who has this mutation is currently in hospice due to a lack of research and resources, so I’m really glad to see that something is being done about this.
If you would be kind enough to share more information about this research, and if the studies have already been completed, that would be amazing. ❤️

I haven’t had gene testing done, but had my ovaries removed as they had multiple cysts on them. Thank you for raising awareness [Heartwarming]

Did you ask the doctors to test you? As I have asked & mine won’t test me even tho I have had cancer in my family & had a few lumps that my gp wouldn’t even refer me so I am thinking of going private x

Good luck ! That will be an amazing step forward. I found out I am brca 1 positive after unexpectedly being diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer 2 years ago at 31. I was the first to have any cancer in the family that we know of so not sure which parent I inherited from. I so hope the trial proves successful as it’s such an awful disease. Wishing you all the luck 🥰 PS… absolutely love you and daphnes videos… girl has a good taste in biscuit’s 🤭
