POV: I’m taking you shopping at the place where I spend the most money… and it’s not Sephora. 😭💊 I visit this place at least once a month, and somehow I’m ALWAYS spending a ridiculous amount of money there. So come with me. 🛒😂 Plot twist: it’s the drive-through pharmacy. Six medications to pick up today… PLUS one brand-new medication my neurologist prescribed a few days ago because we’re trying to break this current migraine cycle. 🧠💊 And honestly? This pharmacy bill is only a tiny fraction of what chronic migraine can actually cost. There are the medications… but then there are ER visits when a migraine becomes completely unmanageable. There are hospital stays. Migraine infusions. Neurologist appointments. Specialist appointments. Treatments. Procedures. Trying medication after medication. And basically anything that gives me even the slightest possibility of finding relief. Then there are all the things I try at home, too — migraine ice packs, cooling products, supplements, comfort items, home remedies, things to help with nausea, products to help me rest in a dark room, and anything else that might make an absolutely miserable migraine even 5% more tolerable. Because when you live with chronic migraine, chronic headaches, chronic pain, or chronic illness, you’re not just paying for prescriptions. You’re constantly paying for the possibility of feeling better. And that’s a part of chronic illness that people don’t always see. The appointments. The prescriptions. The ER bills. The hospital stays. The treatments that don’t work. The treatments you try anyway. The things you buy for your home. The time lost. The plans canceled. The endless search for something — ANYTHING — that might finally break the cycle. So yes… apparently my most expensive shopping destination is the pharmacy. 😂💊 If you’re a woman living with chronic migraines, chronic pain, chronic headaches, or another chronic illness, you probably understand this kind of shopping trip WAY too well. Tell me I’m not the only one whose “shopping addiction” is actually just trying to manage a chronic illness. 😭👇🏼 #ChronicMigraine #ChronicIllness #MigraineAwareness #ChronicPain #MigraineRelief @GoodRx
