I do want to clear some things up though! This is only a tiktok, it’s possible to have both lineage organically down the line. In earlier centuries (1600s), the billeting system made it so that irish civilians were forcibly required to feed and house british soldiers. It’s worth noting it was an unpopular practice and really only increased tensions. Later in the 20th century during the war, catholic neighborhoods were often forcibly raided by british militia, searched, and subjected to curfews. This is where the IRA (irish republican army) and british forces clashed resulting in guerrilla conflict. ofc this is only the tip of the iceberg; historians dedicate their lives to learning. if this topic interests you, i encourage you to research the Irish war of independence and follow the history back.
